Emirates issues major update on Tanzania flights from Dubai

DUBAI – Emirates has announced the temporary suspension of flights to and from Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, citing ongoing civil unrest in the country’s largest city.
The airline said in a travel advisory on Saturday, November 1, that all services between Dubai International Airport and Dar Es Salaam will remain cancelled until at least Sunday, November 2.
The decision affects passengers connecting through Dubai with a final destination of Dar Es Salaam, who will not be accepted for travel from their point of origin until further notice. Emirates stated it is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.
Routes affected
Emirates operates seven weekly flights on the Dubai-Dar Es Salaam route. The cancellations include EK725 and EK726 flights scheduled between October 31 and November 2 in both directions.
The airline has advised affected passengers to contact their travel agents for rebooking options or reach out directly for assistance.

flydubai services unaffected
While Emirates has halted operations, flydubai’s 21-times-weekly route to Zanzibar remains unaffected and continues to operate normally. The carrier is also still scheduled to fly to Dar Es Salaam on Saturday, November 1, despite the unrest.
